Doesn't it make more sense to increase BEG to 14 first?
ReplyDeleteThey are already codesharing with JU on their afternoon flights.
DeleteAnd JU is still using the ATR on the route on some days, such as today.
DeleteDo they send the ATR on days when there are limited connections in one direction?
DeleteNot always. Tomorrow is almost identical as today in terms of connections, yet tomorrow is scheduled for the A319.
Delete02.06.2021 BEG-IST 40/48 ATR
Delete03.06.2021 BEG-IST 95/2-110
Some other loads for today:
BEG-ZAG 13/53
BEG-LJU 43/50
BEG-SJJ 18/22
Btw ROV tomorrow returns almost full with 3-117.
Flew their A330s once on AMS-IST-BEY in economy. Good experience.
ReplyDeleteIs it time to go double daily?
ReplyDeleteSeems like BEG will roar in June:
ReplyDelete1. SU going six weekly on A333
2. TK keeping the A333 on Wednesdays
3. JU launching ROV and resuming LED and KRR
4. Aegean resumes BEG tonight
5. Luxair launches BEG tomorrow
I don't know if I missed something?
Nordwind launches LED next week

Forgot about that one, I just checked their website and seems like lowest fares are already gone. Good for them. I wonder if they might add another destination. Ural was considering a big BEG expansion but nothing will come out of it.
DeleteTK ESB-BEG from 24.06
DeleteVueling from 20.06.
Delete^ those aren't scheduled yet
DeleteVueling is scheduled, flights are on sale already. They even added normal times, for example their June flights depart from BCN at 07.20.
DeleteI think they realized that they can't compete with JU and W6 with middle of the night flights.
I was talking about the Ankara flights, not Vueling.
DeleteThen you need to be more specific.
DeleteAir Montenegro starts next week.
DeleteMust be strong cargo demand to justify the upgrade, the economics of widebody on short haul doesn't make sense vs more frequencies
ReplyDeleteMany airlines around the world use widebody on short haul routes for various reasons: demand, to increase ac utilisation between long haul ops, cargo...
DeleteYes but when you have 200+ narrowbody aircraft, financially it makes more sense to deploy 2 A321 than 1 A330 unless you have large cargo demand to make up for the difference or operating costs
DeleteFor Turkish it does. Theyve been doing it for years, dispatching widebodies to ATH, OTP, TXL/BER, perhaps also BUD, VIE, ZRH...
DeleteNot BUD but KBP.
DeleteIt's a shame that the famous TK short-haul service has been gutted so badly. (I fly them often between MXP and BEG.) No service whatsoever in Economy (except a glass of water) and significantly reduced service in Business (Economy-style main courses and a very poor selection of wine).
ReplyDeleteService is back, flew them two months ago and they served a meal to Belgrade
DeleteI flew them yesterday morning and nothing was served in Economy on BEG-IST. Just a small pack of water.
DeleteI like seeing A330 in Belgrade. Air Serbia, Aeroflot and now Turkish with scheduled flights.
