Sarajevo Airport records busiest month in two years

Sarajevo Airport handled 151.309 passengers last month, its busiest since August 2019. The figure represents a decrease of 15.4% on two years ago, prior to the pandemic. During the month, Turkish Airlines, jointly with its AnadoluJet unit, offered the most seats from Sarajevo, followed by Wizz Air and Flydubai. The most capacity was available to and from Istanbul’s Sabiha Gocken Airport, then Dubai and Riyadh. During the January - August period, Sarajevo Airport welcomed 450.533 passengers through its doors, down 44.9% on the same period in 2019.

    I'm surprised that with all the new Wizz flights the 2019 result has not been overtaken yet.

      Many Wizz routes are coming in December, the current ones are just a fraction so no surprises numbers are still not huge.

      Wizz air discounted LTN-SJJ so there is no direct flight from Sarajevo to London

      There are almost no people from B&H living in UK i.e. the number is too low.
      Also, people from UK need a visa to enter B&H.
