NEWS FLASH
Flights between Tel Aviv and the Croatian capital have been restored after more than two years. El Al’s leisure brand Sun d'Or will maintain the service once per week, each Tuesday, throughout the summer with the 189-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft. A wet-leased B737-800 from Smartwings was used on the first flight between the two cities this week. The return of the Israeli carrier to Zagreb for the first time following the height of the Coronavirus pandemic was marked by a water canon salute and a traditional welcome for passengers.
Finally! Welcome back
ReplyDeleteWasn't this route once operated by El Al mainline?
ReplyDeleteYes, it was, first time back in 1989, it was the only EL AL service to ex-yu. Than again, for several years before pLandemic. Probably it will continue again once scam scenario is over
DeleteIt was operated by ElAl in 2019.
DeleteBravo Hrvatska!
ReplyDeleteKakva pompa, kao da je uspostavljena linija iz Australije, a ne obnovljena iz Izraela.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly. When Arkia resumed three weekly flights to Belgrade there was no fanfare. Business as usual
DeleteI can't imagine what the comments would have been like if JU resumed a route using a wet-leased plane.
