NEWS FLASH

Zadar Airport has welcomed its millionth passenger of the year today, for the first time in its history, after it added a further 184.926 travellers in September. The millionth passenger arrived on a Ryanair flight from Charleroi, which was greeted by a water cannon salute. As a result, Zadar has become the fourth airport in Croatia to process over one million customers annually. It previously registered its busiest September on record, outperforming the same month during the pre-pandemic 2019 by 58.7%. During the first three quarters of the year, Zadar Airport handled a record 990.046 passengers through its doors. Zadar Airport’s strong recovery from Covid-19 has been fuelled by Ryanair, which launched its seasonal summer base in the city with three aircraft and introduced a number of new routes.

Excellent news. A few gaps remain though, hopefully next year will be even better. Hoping for the Baltics, Spain, more France and Scandinavia.

And more flights to Amsterdam. The two flights per week from the beginning of july to the end of august are not enough!

Easyjet could offer a lot more for a few more months. Other destinations missing include Zurich and Geneva. Madrid, Barcelona and Lyon would be good too.

Dear people, what is good about mass tourism and devastation of the coast?

What devastation? Construction and development are not necessarily devastation. More visitors neither.

What devastation? Croatian coast is so long and still wonderful, empty (mostly) and beautifully wild.

Bravo Zadar! Any chance you organize brief course for RJK management? Guys from LJU and ZAG can join as well.

Hahaha, you really dare comparing RJK with 150.000 and ZAD with 1.000.000 pax? And its 2 or 3 weekly Q400 to MUC?
