PHOTOS: Niš Airport’s new terminal takes shape

NEWS FLASH

The construction of Niš Constantine the Great Airport's new terminal building is advancing. The new 7.160-square-metre facility will boast ten check-in desks, self-check-in stations, eight passport control booths, four passenger gates and one VIP gate. Furthermore, it will feature one air bridge and a luggage sorting facility. New food and beverage outlets, as well as duty free shops, will also be added. The project, scheduled for completion by 2024, will increase the airport’s annual capacity to 1.5 million passengers and will enable it to simultaneously handle six aircraft. The development is valued at eleven million euros. In addition, work on the construction of a new control tower is expected to begin in the near future.

This can't be true, are those pics real? Нишлије told us government would banish lowcosters and then shut down the airport!

Fortunately it is happening. The locals like to speculate and listen to tetka Mileva and what she heard while she was standing in line at the bank, from someone who knows someone, who knows someone. Who actually knows no one.

    2. It will be a decent building for airport whose passenger growth is restricted by the decision of public authorities. We heard it from them directly.

What size of the building would be needed in your opinion if the passenger growth was not restricted?

  3. Kada se izgrade novi objekti terminala, novi kontrolni toranj,
produzi obnovljena pista sa ILS -om i kargo terminalom, bice to respektni vazdusni centar u Jugoistocnoj Evropi.
    Sto je procesu gradnje.
Prateci nove vesti razvoja aerodromske mreze Srbije nedostaje ostvarenje dovrsetka Ponikvi i Nove piste na Moravi. Nova Vlada Srbije polozila zakletvu, stara godina pri kraju. Prostorni plan zavrsen za aerodrom Morava. Nema reci o ova dva aerodroma. Sta odlaze neizvesnost. Djedovina, dedovina, vojska, nedostatak novca. Nizak prioritet, ili nedaj Boze, indolentnost sluzbi u cijoj kompetenciji je i ovaj nedovrseni Aerodrom Morava.
    Kao i Onikve, porazumeva se.
Postoje i naznake i o buducoj gradnji Novo Pazarskog Aerodroma u Raskoj oblasti. Verujem u privatno drzanom sporazumu.

Bravo Nis. I would rather drive an hour and a half to fly out of Nis then an hour to Beograd to fly out of Nikola Tesla. Nis will become a respectable airport within two years. Beograd will become a log jam. It already is.
