NEWS FLASH

Singapore Airlines has placed its designator code and flight numbers onto Lufthansa’s daily evening service between Frankfurt and Belgrade. Operating under flight numbers SQ2260/2261, the codeshare will enable better connectivity between Singapore and Belgrade. The airline already codeshares on Swiss’ flights between Zurich and the Serbian capital. Tickets from Singapore to Belgrade can be purchased via Singapore Airlines’ website. In the former Yugoslavia, Singapore Airlines already codeshares on Lufthansa’s flights to Ljubljana, Zagreb, and Sarajevo.

I am still waiting for some big Asian airline to announce BEG flights. That would shake up things here and would provide so many opportunities to t ravelers.

Interestingly, several Asian carriers now have codeshares on flights to Belgrade. Besides Singapore Airlines there is also Malaysia Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Sri Lankan Airlines, Oman Ai and Emirates.

Wouldn’t it be a wonderful sight for Singapore Airlines A380 to be flying into Belgrade airport. Although realistically it wont happen and they also don’t have the air bridges for it but we can wish and I imagine with transfer passengers from Australia and Asia it actually could do quite well, maybe not A380 well but to see that bird flying over and landing in Belgrade would be something.

I'm not sure Belgrade is able to host the A380, due to TWY width. I know for sure the AN225 wasn't able to come because of that

Singapore Airlines best time is over .
Remember when they were flying their 747-400s to practically everywhere .
They also boycott Russia and have thus not any coverage in Eurasia .
Meanwhile all the Turkish and Arab airlines do and are even increasing .

Thats where you are wrong. The kangaroo route and their southeast asian connections are aplenty and are doing very well connecting Europe and US to SEA and the pacific

Airlines like Scoot and AirAsiaX would be a good start. AirAsiaX are already flying some charters into Georgia.
