NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia will operate daily flights between Belgrade and New York JFK during the upcoming peak summer season from June 18 until the start of September in response to strong demand. “Air Serbia has been flying to New York for seven years now. During that time, the number of weekly flights changed, but it never exceeded six. In the meantime, we have undertaken a series of activities, from strengthening our fleet to expanding our cabin crew team, and thanks to that, we can now proudly announce that we will be operating flights to New York every day, all summer long”, Air Serbia’s Vice President Americas, George Petković, said. With the addition of the airline’s new Belgrade to Chicago service from May 17, Air Serbia will maintain up to ten weekly rotations between Serbia and the United States this summer. Air Serbia has handled over 466.000 passengers on its New York flights since their launch in June 2016. The carrier recently inked an interline partnership with American Airlines enabling better connectivity via New York and Chicago.

Well done. ORD will take a year or two to reach the same dynamics.
    Wild guess: Miami is next.

I'm sure Chicago will go to daily within a year. And by this time next year, Miami and perhaps another US city will have service as well.

It took only a little bit 🤣🤣
So acording to IATA the number of pax that are flying Toronto to Belgrade is crazy in June and july only and Belgarde to Toronto is crazy July and Aug. The rest of the year number are in single digits per day.
On the other hand passenger number on Miami - Belgarde and also Begrade - Miami are steady from January to December.
So either serbians in Canada will start flying 12 monts a year or maybe you can create some 'Rodni Kraj Fund' and pay all the fees for that Airbus A330 for the whole year, fuel and crew as well amd we can have TORONTO😀 to Belgrade direct flight.

Toronto to Belgrade demand is 4-5x higher than Miami. It is mathematically impossible that these folks are only travelling during 4 months. Stop with this garbage. Miami is only feasible if there’s a rich codeshare with AA which dum tssss… did not happen.

Makes more sense for them to look into launching Los Angeles before Miami. LA has around 50,000 Serbs, there is P2P demand, and it’s a major hub which can connect to other major cities in the vicinity. Might also serve as a potential connection for Australia/NZ.

They should alternate EWR (Newark) and JFK (NY). There are quite a few people in the TriState are not wishing to go to JFK.
