NEWS FLASH
Air Serbia commenced operations between Belgrade and Ohrid on Monday, marking its return to the lakeside city for the first time in six years. It also marks the airline’s 22nd newly launched destination since the start of 2023. Flights will be maintained four times per week with the ATR72 aircraft. The General Manager of airport operator TAV Macedonia, Nejat Kurt, said, “We at TAV are delighted to welcome Air Serbia back to Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport and the resumption of flights on the Belgrade - Ohrid route, following a break that started in 2017. This resumption not only reconnects Ohrid, the Pearl of the Balkans, with the capital of Serbia, Belgrade, but it also signifies an important milestone in our recovery efforts following the challenging times faced by the global aviation industry. Additionally, the resumption of flights on the Belgrade - Ohrid route will not only benefit leisure travellers but also serve as a catalyst for economic growth. It will promote tourism, strengthen business ties, and facilitate cultural exchanges between Serbia and North Macedonia. We are confident that the resumption of this route will provide immense opportunities for collaboration, trade, and the exchange of ideas. Ohrid Airport’s team is committed to providing a safe and efficient airport experience for all passengers while working closely with Air Serbia to ensure their journey is seamless and enjoyable". Air Serbia’s Ohrid service is codeshared by Air France, ITA Airways and Turkish Airlines.

ReplyDeleteTo bi tebi odgovaralo najviše na svetu ali mislim da ti se želja neće is ispuniti u punom smislu . Srećno JU I čekamo nove destinacijr .
DeleteČekajte, a mi koji radimo u privatnom sektoru ćemo da finansiramo ovu SNS PR organizaciju :)
DeleteHahhaha...o mukice mala.
DeleteGo Air Srbija!!!
@Anon 15:30 How much did you pay in 2022 for that? ZERO!
DeleteIf 15.47 million euro is zero to you, than you are very lucky and wealthy man, my friend.
DeleteSo every resident of Serbia paid 2,30€ last year for 80+ routes?
DeleteI say that's a good deal
No, PSO is not included in 15.47 mil eur. This was just capital money for the capital costs of expansion and, look, it obviously wasn't enough.
DeleteAlso, bear in mind, less than million citizens from Serbia use JU services so you can't break this bill in 6 million pieces. I'm not against payments to JU, just vouching for correct information. As people say: Short reckonings make long friends.
There are no more subsidies for Air Serbia. ZERO.
DeleteAre you going in distress every time Air Serbia opens a new route with comments like that? They opened dozens recently. You must be in trouble.
Which new route?
DeleteThey just resumed flights to Ohrid after few years.
It it is 6 years, so it's definitely considered a new route by all means.
DeleteJat used to fly there for decades. Nothing special really with resuming these flights.
DeleteYou must be fun at parties.
DeleteWanna party with me? ;)
DeleteUnlike MM, looks like Ohrid is happy with additional visitors and tourists. Win-win for both Ohrid tourism and Air Serbia, loss just for MM.
DeleteDid the goverenment invest in it, or subsidy it? If it invested that is an entitely different thing, and a great move.
DeleteIt's not a great move. The government has no business investing in airlines in a supposedly free-market economy.
DeleteEven with the problem recently annonced, they can make it easy, now they need to focus more on ATR600
ReplyDeleteI havent heard of that aircraft before
DeleteATR72 = 72 pax
DeleteATR600 = double decker wide body turboprop
People do not understand how much business is brought to Serbia with this increased connectivity. The net effect must be amazing 😍
ReplyDeleteThat should be visible in GDP growth rate, right?
DeleteSerbian GDP growth is mediocre. Country is not doing better than any other neighbor and most don't have airline
DeleteImagine how great would those neighbors be if they had an airline like Air Serbia :D
DeleteMost business people (especially employees of large corporations) arrive via Lufthansa and other large airline groups anyway because of corporate contracts.
DeleteThat is not true, my colleagues fly with all airlines, including JU, if flight time is better
DeleteBravo Air Serbia. Now I can fly to Ohrid in one hour instead of driving all day.
ReplyDeleteI do not get why they share sertificate to passengers for the first flight, when tehnicly this is not first Air Serbia flight to Ohrid.
ReplyDeleteIt's called marketing.
Deletethey will have monopoly of connecting pax to OHD. A good part of the macedonian US Diaspora is from the south-west region and if you have travelled from Skopje to Ohrid with a car .... :D
ReplyDeletedont know why Austrian is not sending one of their E190 during summer to Ohrid
New routs, no planes.. summer is going to be fun with AirSerbia when pissed off tourists find out that their flights is cancelled 2 hours before departure to their expensive holiday of 10 days
ReplyDelete95% chance their flight would not be cancelled, so plenty of happy customers. Probably at least 3.5 million of them.
DeleteDoes anyone know why are there no tickets for Chicago in September or October? No way all are sold out, even business class.
Deletesold out
DeleteFinally no long drives from Skopje at midnight anymore
ReplyDeleteAnother great day with manny happy passengers on Belgrade.
ReplyDeleteRijad je sledece...
