NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia will be increasing the number of charter flights by 15% this summer on last year’s record levels. This is despite several Greek holiday destinations, including Heraklion, Rhodes, Corfu and Chania, becoming scheduled routes this year. Some of the carrier’s regular charter operations from Belgrade this summer include Antalya, Bodrum, Cephalonia, Dalaman, Gazipasa, Hurghada, Mersa Matruh, Monastir, Samos, Sharm el Sheikh, Skiathos and Zakinthos. Furthermore, the airline will maintain charters from Niš to Antalya, Gaziapsa, Hurghada and Monastir. Last year, Air Serbia operated 2.663 charter flights.

Nice. And people were saying how there would be fewer charters because some destinations became scheduled.

They are not "performing like charters" as the tickets can be freely purchased on JU web site. We are talking here about real charters for this year.

Vast majority of the seats are sold to the agencies and you can buy only if you want to be ripped off. So yes, those flights in reality are charters

I went online and checked couple of scheduled destinations. Available for purchase directly on air serbia without any tourist agency involvement.

I was flying with JU last week on a return flight to IST from BEG and it was the first time I had a completely negative experience with them.
The original flight was canceled with no explanation, no e mail, sms... Nothing. We just came to the airport and saw aline of about 500 people (I am not blowing numbers the line was huge) that was served by only 2 counters since many flights were also delayed thay day.
The alternative flight the next day was packed and late for about 45 minutes, while other flights were delayed as well that day.
Return flight was uneventful, yet I saw many flights being late that day as well. The call center is almost impossible to get, and my refund/compensation claim was not solved for 7 days now (although they say that it needs up to 60 days). It's still not the peak of the season, and the sudden expansion is slowly starting to harm them pretty hard. I hope they solve those issues soon, otherwise they will face some terrible consequences.

Anyone any idea if a deaf person can travel with Air Serbia without having a special permission?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Anonymous11:40

Think that deaf person does not need permission but on contrary needs to inform company that needs certain help…just go directly to JU office or call them as online is not rounded well.
