Sky Alps touches down in Mostar

NEWS FLASH

Italian regional carrier Sky Alps has commenced the first two of four new routes out of Mostar. The airline inaugurated flights from the city to Verona and Munich yesterday, which will be followed by Rome and Bari tomorrow. All services will be maintained with the Dash 8 Q400 turboprop. The flights are being subsidised by local authorities in an attempt to improve the city’s connectivity. “We are delighted that the first Sky Alps flights commenced operations today as planned. All services will be maintained twice per week, providing passengers with flexibility”, Mostar Airport said. Sky Alps becomes Mostar’s largest scheduled carrier this summer season based both on the number of planned operations and available capacity.

Mostar Airport scheduled services, summer 2024 (March 31 - October 26)

* flights from October 4 scheduled with Airbus A319 aircraft are subject to equipment change

  1. I understand there might be some potential for Rome and Munich flights, but Verona and Bari??? Wasn't there another airline who tried this in the past and they failed?

Munich is insane, getting slots there and keeping a reasonable price is just wow. Neither SJJ, TZL nor BNX have MUC, just Memmingen.
