NEWS FLASH
Air Serbia handled 476.592 passengers in September, representing an increase of 4.3% compared to the same month last year. The carrier operated 4.815 flights, up 4%. In the first nine months of the year, over 3.5 million passengers flew with the airline, reflecting an increase of 7.8% on the same period last year. Air Serbia's General Manager for Commercial and Strategy, Boško Rupić, said, “The recorded monthly results during September show that passenger interest in our flights to various destinations across Europe remains high. Thanks to this, we carried more than 470.000 passengers last month. The last day of that month was particularly important for the Serbian national airline, as we launched a nonstop service between Belgrade and Guangzhou. This is our second destination in the People's Republic of China and the fourth in long-haul traffic. Air Serbia’s network will continue to grow in the coming period, which we hope will contribute to even greater demand for our flights”. According to the airline, the most popular destinations during September were Tivat and Podgorica within the region, Zurich, Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona and Rome in Western Europe, while the most popular routes in the Euro-Mediterranean were Istanbul, Larnaca, and Athens.
