NEWS FLASH

The final Fokker 100 aircraft belonging to Montenegro Airlines, which was put on sale by the former flag carrier’s bankruptcy administrator last month, has been purchased for 57.000 euros by a US businessman of Montenegrin descent. The purchase price was above the starting price which amounted to 23.900 euros. There were another two bidders who submitted weaker offers. The sales process is expected to be completed in the coming weeks. The aircraft, which has been grounded at Podgorica Airport since Montenegro Airlines’ collapse in December 2020, has been stripped of its engines and key components. The new owner plans to use parts of the aircraft to open a café.

Nice idea. At least the plane will live on.

Yeah, but often such items are modified so much, that even the shape is barely recognizable.

I am curious, how are they going to transport it to the US, given that the plan has no engines.

57,000 Euros is a steal even stripped and without its engines.
