NEWS FLASH
India’s largest airline, IndiGo, has begun codesharing on Turkish Airlines’ flights between Istanbul and Belgrade, extending its reach onto the Serbian market. The carrier has placed its designator code and flight numbers onto Turkish Airlines’ three daily services to the Serbian capital (6E4340/41/42/43/44/45) IndiGo is now selling tickets to Belgrade through its website. The Indian carrier and Turkish Airlines have implemented a wide-ranging codeshare agreement, although Belgrade is currently the only city in the former Yugoslavia to be included in the arrangement.
Were there, some years ago, rumors that they wanted to start direct flights to BEG?
ReplyDeleteYes. Their CEO was in Belgrade for talks but it all stopped when Serbia reintroduced visas for Indians.
DeleteThey can thank our EU friends for that
DeleteActually we can thank the illegal immigration to the EU from people using us an entry point.
Delete@anon 19:48 +100 for this.
DeleteMeant to be @anon 18:48
DeleteCould IndiGo not put their designator code on JUs flights from IST?
ReplyDeleteWhy would they hand out passengers to JU's flights. This is where TK shows its power.
DeleteYou people are crazy. They have a codeshare agreement with Turkish on over 50 routes because they have a strategic partnership with them.
DeleteNothing new.
Delete^ yeah, Air Serbia only has 16 codeshare partners across the world. How shameful of them 🤦🏻♂️
DeleteCode shares except those fm the same alliance group are often nice to hve, but not really attractive in terms of prices.
DeleteAnyone know what the price is like?
ReplyDelete450-500 eu round trip can be found for BEG to BOM or DEL, multicity as well...On turkish website similar price
DeleteThat's not bad at all.
DeleteSoon they’ll cut IST and start ATH
ReplyDeleteCould JU be a part of that codeshare?
DeleteJust landed from Bombay to Belgrade, those prices are great for the travel. Serbians are getting e-visas under 24h. Definitely a place to visit!
