JAT history book makes English debut

The English edition detailing the history of JAT Yugoslav Airlines has been released. “Once There Was Yugoslav Airlines - JAT”. attempt to preserve, in one place, an authentic account of the people who built JAT, as well as the era and circumstances in which the company was created, grew and ultimately disappeared. It is the story of an enterprise that no longer exists just as the country in which it was founded no longer exists, yet one that left a deep and lasting mark.

The book is divided into two parts. The first presents a comprehensive account of JAT’s development and history, while the second, titled “Jatovci”, features fifty profiles of the most prominent pilots, executives and employees who shaped the company’s legacy. At the end of the book is a unique and valuable register of all pilots and flight crew members, including flight mechanics, radio operators and flight engineers, who flew in JAT’s commercial operations from 1947 to 2013. The list includes a total of 1.010 names, along with details of their ranks and the aircraft types they operated. The book spans 480 pages and is richly illustrated with around 350 photographs and illustrations.

Bez kozmetike. Bez politike. Bez skrivenih namjera i poruka. I veliki pozdrav i poštovanje gospodinu Jovi!
