NEWS FLASH
Air Montenegro is postponing the resumption of its seasonal service between Tivat and Ljubljana, with the route now set to operate for just one month this summer. The carrier, which had initially planned to relaunch flights between the two cities next month, will now commence services on September 1, operating twice per week until September 26. Last year, the route resumed on May 31 and was maintained through to October 25.

Just why
ReplyDeleteLast year tour operators booked seats on the flights, this year they will charter TradeAir for the flights
DeleteI don't understand why slovene tourists agencies are in love with Trade air so much. Now we have flights to Barcelona and Athens, yet I see them using Trade Air to those (and other) destinations a lot.
DeleteBecause they likely give them a very good price.
Deletemaybe travel agency see them more reliable
DeleteAs more reliable than Vueling or Aegean? I doubt that. I’d say Slovene travel agencies, from my experience, live in the 70s mostly. Trade Air often has horrific delays during the summer.
DeleteIt's not about realibility, it is about price. Tour operators buy block seats from airlines. They buy from the ones they get the better price from. Also, other conditions can be at play. Some charter operators even enable return of money if agency is unable to fill the seat.
DeleteVueling and Aegean are not your usual charter airlines especiall not Vueling
DeleteBecause LCC starts fly that route. Company will shrink soon
DeleteWill they fly to Podgorica thrugh the summer?
ReplyDeleteYes
DeleteYes, on the days that Wizz isn't flying
Deletechickening out big style :) but a reasonable move
DeleteWizz effect?
ReplyDeleteEven more shocking to me is that this airline does not sell flights to any destination past October.
ReplyDeleteI think they are waiting for PSO
DeleteNo, it's just them. Same happened last year. I think they were not selling tickets until August.
DeleteWhat's worse is that they rebooked us to Podgorica with one day delay. Which means that we need to pay for an extra day and transportation to Podgorica.
ReplyDeleteThey are not going to cover the cost of transportation to Podgorica or provide a bus? That's crazy on their side.
DeleteIf I wanted a bus ride, i would take Wizz to Podgorica instead.
DeleteBanja Luka route will probably have the same outcome.
ReplyDeleteWhy
Delete1 month of operations on an E195 a few times a week
ReplyDeleteThey could consider MBX instead as they have strong competition to LJU (from TGD but anyways).
ReplyDeleteTrade Air is mainly used in Slovenia by the Pa... agency. Prices in Montenegro will probably be lower than in Croatia, and due to the knowledge of the language (especially the older population), the flights will probably be well booked. In previous years, many Slovenian guests flew with Ryanair/Lauda from Zagreb to Podgorica, but these flights are expected to be discontinued.
