NEWS FLASH
Air Montenegro is considering adding a new-generation Embraer E2 aircraft to its fleet of four first-generation E195 jets, with the aircraft expected to be acquired on lease. Speaking at a press conference yesterday, the airline's CEO, Vukadin Stojanović, said, "We'll allow a few more days to pass before revealing exactly what is planned and how we intend to secure a fifth aircraft, which will most likely be a new-generation Embraer. At this moment, we could purchase an aircraft outright, but we are not prepared to pursue such an acquisition now and spend the bulk of our funds on buying an aircraft". Mr Stojanović added that the carrier currently has twelve million euros in its bank account.

The Embraer E2 family consists of the E190-E2 and E195-E2. Compared to the previous generation, the aircraft are powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1900G geared turbofan engines and feature redesigned wings, upgraded avionics and an enhanced fly-by-wire system. Together, these improvements reduce fuel burn by up to 25%, cut emissions and noise levels, extend range, and lower maintenance costs compared to the earlier E-Jet family.

So they are about to receive PSO for destinations like Paris and Frankfurt yet here they are thinking about a fifth aircraft, an expensive E2.
ReplyDeleteGod I wish I lived in their world.
"yet here they are thinking" - What are they supposed to do, government granted them funds for new flights for which they need more airplanes?
DeleteThey are lying. Their fifth plane will be E195 from Azul, former PR-AXF
DeleteWhat will they do in spring, autumn and winter with 5 planes? Only BEG can sustain at least daily flights outside the summer season.
DeleteA huge news, but not sure if it's the best plan. I noticed that winter flights are finally on sale, with a (to me) surprise - Ljubljana is still 3x weekly
ReplyDeleteMy friend flew to Podgorica with 4O in June. The flight was full.
DeleteBravo MNE, interestingly EU hasn’t implicitly demanded from Montenegro government to go with Airbus a220! Good for Air Montenegro don’t buy broken aircraft
ReplyDeleteWhat? Move on dear
DeleteThat would be selfdestruction move
Delete> broken aircraft
DeleteA220 and E2 share the same broken engine, chassis are fine.
Ovo je 5-ti E195...https://www.planespotters.net/airframe/embraer-erj-195-oy-nzp-truenoord/e5v0vq
Delete€12m in the bank? Really?
ReplyDeleteWhy would any CEO disclose this?!
DeleteThey think its worth bragging about :D
DeleteOn one hand, government is providing some from of financial incentives to Wizzair. On the other hand, government is providing some form of financial support to Air Montenegro. With Air Montenegro ending seasonal TIV-LJU service and competing head-to-head with Wizz on TGD-LJU, how sustainable is supporting both airlines long-term?
ReplyDeleteI flew several times with Embraer E2 Jet. Very silent. Very comfortable 😌
ReplyDelete+1
DeleteHow dare you? It's Bright and Shiny you should be praising
DeleteHilarious!!! 🙄
DeleteOne of the best plane in its category. Congratulations Montenegro.
ReplyDeleteWhat did he say?
Delete"Mr Stojanović added that the carrier currently has twelve million euros in its bank account."
Peanuts, the new Embraer 195 is at least 5 times that money.
Embraers (their base, Fuji Dream Airline in Nagoya is Komaki airport, they fly over my home, just extending their legs), 15 aircrafts, each in different color.
ReplyDeleteWhat the Emraers are famous for (been on one flight with them, Nagoya-Fukuoka) is: NO THE MOST HATED MIDDLE SEAT. Sorry for shouting. Seats are 2 x 2 and still carry about the same number of passengers as former JAT DC-9.
