Trade Air was forced to suspend its domestic services after the existing PSO contracts expired at the end of March 2026, while the Croatian government had yet to commence the tender process and award new contracts. As the airline relies on PSO subsidies to operate commercially unviable domestic routes, it could not continue flying until a new contractual framework was put in place. The government has still not launched tender procedures for the new PSO agreements, indicating a compromise has been reached for Trade Air to continue operations until funds are finally awarded.

Finally. Shameful the government still can't get its act togeather with the contracts.
