Air Serbia is further expanding its operations to Montenegro, with the carrier set to introduce a fourth daily service between Belgrade and Podgorica from October 1 from Mondays to Saturdays. The additional rotation will remain in place throughout the upcoming 2026/27 winter season, which begins on October 25. The extra daily flight is now available for booking through the airline’s website.

Air Serbia has also recently increased frequencies between Belgrade and Tivat for the winter season to three daily flights. As a result, the Serbian flag carrier will maintain a record 48 weekly services between the two countries, comprising of 27 weekly rotations to Podgorica and 21 to Tivat.
Seven daily flights between Belgrade and Montenegro in the middle of winter by Air Serbia. That is some serious capacity.

This is great news for Montenegro. Wizzair and Air Serbia are, each in it's own way, bringing more connectivity to Montenegro. It is important to remember that connectivity works both ways: Montenegrin passengers can travel abroad, while visitors coming to Montenegro generate tourism revenue, supporting local hotels, restaurants, shops and businesses and helping to create jobs. Connectivity is an economic asset and Montenegro should protect it. A competitive aviation market gives consumers choice, keeps travel affordable, brings international visitors to Montenegro and makes the country more attractive for business and investment.

DeleteI just cannot imagine how many daily flights would it be if only the bilateral chains are broken and we can see some other airline serving the route (for example Wizz or Ryan).. The prices would be much more affordable and I bet we would easily see few more daily flights :)

DeleteWhy Ryanair nor Wizzair nor easyJet fly Madrid Barcelona, despite dozens of daily flights?! Noone wonders but cheers for those entering our markets.
LCCs made it possible for the majority of us to fly, whether directly or indirectly. No one flew in SLO in the 90s with just Adria here. If someone flew somewhere it was like they’d gone to Mars.

Air Serbia has more resources and even capability to withstand losses on this routes if needed.
