Montenegro’s two international airports, Podgorica and Tivat, welcomed their combined three millionth passenger of the year on Friday, September 18. The milestone was reached nearly two and a half months earlier than in 2025, when the airports first passed the three million mark in December. Growth has been driven largely by the opening of Wizz Air’s Podgorica base this spring. Airports of Montenegro CEO Roko Tolić said the increase adds urgency to planned upgrades at both airports.

ReplyDeleteIt was a shame that two airports on sea couldn't reach 3 million pax combined which last year Montenegro as a country had 2.7 million tourists in 2025

DeleteNext season is lost as well in terms of any expansion work. Even if they started tomorrow with tendering, which will definitely not happen, they wouldn't complete it by summer.
