EX-YU Aviation News turns seven

EX-YU Aviation News today marks seven years since going online, on June 1, 2008. Since then, there have been dramatic changes to the aviation industry in the former Yugoslavia. With 2.565 articles published as of this morning, EX-YU Aviation News has been there to track all of the latest developments. In addition to the over 2.560 articles, there have been 314 news flash items published, 670 new route launches recorded and 72.394 comments made. Over the years, a total of 7.085.086 page views have been registered.

EX-YU Aviation News was launched as a blog with the aim of brining together commercial aviation news from the former Yugoslavia, which was at the time sparsely available. This year, EX-YU Aviation News became a stand-alone website with its own domain. Over the weekend, a refreshed look was introduced with new additions such as a forum and more developments are to come.

It is thanks to you that the site has lasted for seven years. Your staying power is fantastic and the industry has taken notice. They may not always love your comments but one thing that brings us all together is our passion for aviation.

As we have approached the half-way point of the year, here are the most popular articles of 2015, which have received the most views, and some recent additions have made a big impression

Thank you for visiting, contributing and participating.

Here’s to the next seven years!

I try to visit every day and enjoy reading MOST of the comments from those who contribute with sensible arguments and have also increased my knowledge of the industry by doing so as well as from what I read directly from Ex Yu.

Before Ex Yu we were all most probably scouring the forums of websites like airliners.net hoping to stumble across some news or information from the skies of the former Yugoslavia but this changed with the arrival of ExYu aviation news and all of a sudden we have had news from the region on a daily basis.

One thing I would love to see is ExYu being there giving us live updates on all major aviation developments in the region.

Congratulation once more and I look forward to visiting the site for the next 7 years and beyond!
