FlyBosnia to launch Mostar - Rome service

NEWS FLASH

FlyBosnia will introduce a scheduled one weekly service between Mostar and Rome this winter. As of December 16, one of the carrier’s two weekly flights between Sarajevo and the Italian capital will land in Mostar. Tickets for the new service are already on sale, however, they are not available for the short domestic sector from Sarajevo to Mostar. Speaking at the CAPA World Aviation Outlook Summit in Malta yesterday, the CEO of FlyBosnia, Tarik Bilalbegović, said Bosnia and Herzegovina has seen “off the chart” tourism traffic, driven in particular by pilgrims, who primarily use Mostar Airport. Further details for the new flights can be found here.

Wow, this is really crazy move. To ferry from SJJ to OMO for another flight. Hopefully they will sell 99.5% seats to charter companies. I don't think they will sell these 0.5% regularly.

It will be a transit flight, as you can read in the article. So, your comment doesn't make much sense. Almost like their winter SJJ-OMO-FCO-OMO-SJJ rotation :D

FCO is better than Second World War airport - Ciampino.
It is good to have a really primary airport to fly to.
Very good destination and well done SJJ!!

This money laundering claim does not make any sense. It is intended to create an uproar without any face value. I would rather call it a very expensive hobby and potential huge loss for the owners. Once you are in the game and spent millions it is hard to get out. See 4K story. I wish them all the best and hope to see them flying for long time. If they can bring more tourists to Medjugorje, Mostar and Sarajevo, I think they deserve subsidies from the Federal Government and local authorities.

Can we board Sarajevo-Mostar-Sarajevo flights ? It is available on booking through web site but lately says no ... I just cant remember right now. So we are forced to stay one week in very expensive italian capital otherwise we will have surface transportation to Sarajevo on other day ?!? Looks pretty stupid, but if Talgo train will wait in Ortjes train station for short connections looks quite good, but there is no station.
