NEWS FLASH

German start-up carrier Lubeck Air plans to introduce flights to Croatia with a one weekly service from Lubeck, on Germany’s Baltic coast, to Zadar. Operations are scheduled to commence on May 19 and run each Thursday until the end of the summer season in late October with an Embraer E190 aircraft it recently wet-leased from Air Alsie. Tickets are on sale through the airline’s website. Further flight details can be found here. Zadar Airport handled 513.093 passengers in 2021, reaching 64% of its pre-pandemic traffic. The airport anticipates a strong 2022 summer season with a number of new routes to be launched, primarily by low cost carrier Ryanair.

The distance is over 600 NM/1100 km, ATR cruise speed is around 500 km/h and the flight time is set to 1h 50 min on their web. So it will probably be operated by the German Airways E190, just leased to their Danish operating partner Air Alsie/Alsie Express...

It's a shame the Zadar airport website doesn't advertise any of these new 2022 routes. They are not even on the destinations map.

ZAD is hibernating in winter. After all, why bother, what's advertised now might not happen as advertised due to pandemic, they opine.

It will be operated by the E190 not their ATR72.
