NEWS FLASH

Zagreb Airport handled 140.176 passengers last month, representing a 31% decrease compared to the pre-pandemic January of 2020, and a 26.7% decline on 2019. The airport’s improved results are on the back of Ryanair, which in December launched a number of new routes from the Croatian capital. Despite the budget carrier temporarily suspending some services due to a rise in Covid infections across the continent, the airport registered 2.776 aircraft movements. During January, Croatia reached a high 90.3% of seat capacity on the same month in 2020.

    FANTASTIC RESULT!!!! BRAVO ZAGREB!!

Could it be the busiest in January in ex-YU? I don't think BEG was more than 150 to 160.

I think Belgrade should be around 145.000. there were too many cancellations this year due to travel restrictions.

Anon 14:08 If ZAG hasn't made it in December, it's more difficult in January due to the cancellations.

BEG had a very strong January.

Air Serbia was operating 7 additional routes, Wizz Air was operating more flights than in Janiary 2021, Air Montenegro operated flights - it didn't exist in January 2021, KLM and Wizz Air Abu Dhabi operated flights - they did not fly in January 2021. Flydubai operated 10 weekly instead of 7 weekly, Qatar Airways operated daily instead of 5 weekly etc) but whatevet makes you happy. BEG publishes its results next week.

Belgrade won't publish its results next week because they do it every three months.

This is not the case. Belgrade Airport's passenger figures are published on a monthly basis and you have the opportunity to review the results on this site each month. January figures will be available here on February 17.

In any case, Zagreb won't be the busiest January in ex-Yu. Pristina had more passengers

Zagreb won't be the busiest since Pristina had 194k pax, more than Zagreb's ever had in January, even in 2020. right before the pandemic.
