Not bad, any growth is welcome but I was hoping at least a bit more than this. We have to wait for Monarch and Emirates I guess.

7.4% is very good result considering the number of carriers have cut number of flights to Zagreb.

January LF is up by nearly 6%, this is really impressive.

Last year Zagreb had 20800 landings, 2.766 million pax giving an average LF of around 68.5

This year from all the announced flights so far we can expect 3.1 million pax and LF of around 72. Mind you still few airlines to be announced.

If they are announced, (Beijing and NYC Flights) we could be looking at 3.2 million pax and 72.7LF for 2017.

So January LF @60 has long way to go to.

    2. Linije za Stockholm i Dublin.

    3. Da OU Lisbon i Milano prebaci na year round.

An unreliable tiny company called JU has been trying to lower number of pax. They have cancelled every second flight to ZAG. Despite of that the Jan/Feb numbers look good.

If Air Serbia is tiny, how big is Croatia Airlines then?

    3. Anonymous13:18

JU wouldn't need to cut flights to ZAG if the market to the Balkans and the Middle East was bigger.

Anon @12.51 & 12.53 - you didn't get the point. The point is that every second flight is cancelled. It has nothing to do with Croatia or Adria. If they did the same I would call them the same.
Reliable and big companies don't do this w/o alternative. The other who do this I call them unreliable and tinny. Hop yopu get the point.

  6. Nice! U wonder if February will surpass January this year for the first time ever?? Also, this year we'll surpass 200,000 pax in March already for the first time ever and for sure. (regardless of the new terminal). I don't think it is realistic ti expect for Zagreb to reach 3,2 million pax this year. Even 3,1 million is very ambitious. My estimate is somewhere between 3,05 - 3,1 million at best.

My original estimate was 3.07 million for this year, this was before Emirates came. Now I estimate it'll be 3.2 million. This is if Bejing and New York flights are announced.

If not 3.1 million very likely as well.
And 4.5 million by 2020 or in 2020.

    2. 4,5 million by the end of 2020...hmmm, maybe.

Within 3 years ZAG will have more pax per year than BEG.
The ultra modern terminal will allow fast transfer of passengers and make ZAG into the proper hub that the region badly needs.

I have heard that SQ is seriously considering SIN-ZAG 3-5 times per week, and having this connection to the best hub in the world will push ZAG past 6 million within 3 years easily.

Hahahh, please! This is ridiculous! Btw u forgot to mention it, route to New York will be 7 days per week, China twice daily, etc.

This is entirely possible, I wouldn't be surprised.

I wouldn't be surprised to see OS start with BKK-ZAG either.

SQ, is that Singapore Airlines ? From Singapore to Zagreb?

Do you have some indications that Singapore Airlines will fly to Zagreb?

If they do, that'd be great.

I think Qatar is sending A380 for new terminal opening, which might be delayed a day or two as a result.

I am sure this blog will be making a post about it when the news of A380 is announced, and Emirates will also be sending their A380 for very first flight to Zagreb.

So this is something to look forward to.

Qantas and Emirates have a partnership agreement so those passengers have already been catered for with the existing daily 777. ;)
