1330, why? OU has three times more than LH group?

Great news for ZAG but the airport should be worried about OU's bad peformance. They need to make sure their role becomes even less. Their marketshare should be brought down to 15%-20% range. Like that they won't be severely impacted when they eventually go bankrupt.

If FR had 85% LF, others 80% that means OU had 60%

I think OU LF at around 60% is in line with what they had until now. We read the other day about their deteriorating finances so makes you wonder how much longer they can last. Sure the government can give them another cash injection but they won't give them enough to keep them alive for another 10 years.

I don't get it either. I arrived from Barcelona yesterday on the A220 and the plane was almost full. Soon I'm flying back to Copenhagen and that flight is always full.
Something "weird" is going on with OU and it can only be corruption.

Imagine how big Bravo Hrvatska could it be if Croatia Airlines made ZAG real hub, took advantage of its geoposition, tourism and diaspora and became real airline with much more than 13 percent of market share, instead of miserable tiny irrelevant humiliated feeder

That ship has long sailed and ZAG will never be a real hub especially not now when they are between VIE/OS and BEG/JU.

And who would do it? Ryanair can't, OU doesn't have the money or the brains... so who is left? A new Croatian company or someone else coming and doing it.

So spare me your cheap reverse psychology and give me some real ideas and evidence of who could realistically do it. Come on, I'm waiting.

^ You're right. Croatia Airlines could do wonders if it were in private hands, but it's too late for that. Nobody wants to buy it in this state, and the government doesn't seem to want to sell it either.
It clearly serves its purpose the way it is. At this point, I only wish for justice to be served some day when USKOK hopefully gets involved.

      An.18.00 and Michael

Ownership (in general, not in OU case where it is misused) is not the main issue. There are examples of successful and profitable state owned Airlines and privately owned airline businesses which struggle and eventually go bust. And when I speak who can do it, I speak preciseley about Croatia Airlines. And I don't think the ownership should change. I don't think alliance should be change. I don't think FR, Easy, or any other in HR is the obstacle for their growth. And I don't think JU on one side and OS on the other side are the problem as well. The main reason why I think so is the fact that HR is the biggest ex-yu market, with the strongest tourism, with the most visitors from distant markets, with significant increase of foreign work force, with huge diaspora, with good transfer position for entire Balkans and with entire Slovenia, without carrier and with bad connectivity, one to two hours by road. The second fact why I think should be changed in order to take advantage of the above listed, is shameful OU market share of 13 percent. How and what to do in order to achieve the change:
      1. withdrawal of politics from the airline
      2. closure of posts and positions non existent in order Airlines, created for uhljebs
      3. reduction of overstuffed administration
      4. selection of professional, competent, experienced, proven and devoted management, with top salaries oferred, internationally
      5. change of main role as a feeder
      6. change of highly corruptive decision on single type fleet
      7. doubling or tripling of the network
      8. acquiring of long-haul aircraft and start of limited long-haul operations to destinations in North America, India, and the Far East
      9. high increase of regional destinations
      10. work and joint efforts with ZAG to create propper hub
      11. creation of propper waves system to enable feeding of its own network
      12. cooperation with tourist organization on state level and for cities individually
      13. higher engagment in charter traffic, Adriatic coast in summer, and leisure from domestic market in winter
      14. introduction of much more codeshares with more/new partners, on both ends of the network
      15. srarting work on real, decent marketing, which today is almost non existent
      16. erasing, or if not possible, reducing of corruption to acceptable level
      17. changing of fare and pricing policies
      18. increasing level of in flight services
Infrastructure of the company exists, professional, experienced and highly skilled professionals exist, especially in operations, numerous advantages of EU open sky agreements, organization memberships and alliance exist, and OU basically have the base to do all of the above. And only if someone don't want to understand it, or have personal benefits from the OU as it is today, could be against of what I am suggesting. And I firmly believe all of the above will happen, sooner or later.
