Commenting on the anniversary, Jürgen Deischl, Managing Director of airport operator Fraport Slovenija, said, "The passenger terminal is far more than just an infrastructure investment. It is the first point of contact for many visitors and forms an important part of the first impression Slovenia leaves on its guests. Five years after opening, it has fully met our expectations by strengthening the quality, efficiency and appeal of Ljubljana Airport, while providing the capacity and flexibility needed for future growth. We are proud of what has been achieved, but our ambitions extend even further. We want to continue strengthening Ljubljana Airport's position as the airport of choice for passengers, airlines and business partners across the wider region”.
Speaking to EX-YU Aviation News recently, Mr Deischl outlined other ongoing and planned infrastructure developments at the airport.

And Gate A1 still has no jetbridge.... 🙉
ReplyDeleteBravo Fraport!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to Slovenia for years but this really does look nice inside.
ReplyDeleteThe new terminal building is wide and spacious but the Gate area A1 to A3 has not enough seating capacity, is often overcrowded with little commercial zones and the Business Lounge leaves in terms of food a lot to be desired. The gate area was ok for smaller aircraft up to 120 passengers. With A320/A321 flights and up to 230 passengers per flight, it is definitely too small and need an upgrade.
