NEWS FLASH
Low cost carrier Wizz Air will introduce a new seasonal service between Bucharest and Dubrovnik, its tenth new route to Croatia this year and the fifth new Dubrovnik service. Flights will commence on July 1 and run three times per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with the Airbus A321 aircraft until September 18. Further flight details can be found here. It marks the second new route to be launched by the budget carrier from Romania to Dubrovnik, as it previously announced the introduction of flights from Cluj-Napoca, starting May 23.

And at the same time Croatia Airlines has discontinued Zagreb and Split to Bucharest. Crazy. But happy to see Wizz expanding.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair it's a different profile route, but OU could have just shifted capacity form Zagreb to Dubrovnik.
DeleteIt’s too early!
DeleteIt is not crazy. I wrote yesterday that Jasmin should cut one more line. And he did. He read our forum and comments and do the best for the company. Thank you Jasmin for trust,
DeleteBravo Hrvatska!
ReplyDeleteSo if Wizz Air can fly from its Bucharest base to Dubrovnik i ask myself if they could do the same from its base in Belgrade?!
ReplyDeleteIt can but maybe does not see the point competing against 14 weekly flights.
DeleteIm not sure there point to point demand for that quite yet on an a321 but it definatly a good idea for the future tbh.
DeleteWizzair (and Ryanair) can fly from Zagreb to Dubrovnik or Split but they don't. Good idea for the future tbh.
DeleteThey could. However its not a very good idea, tbh.
DeleteIt is a spectacular idea! Lowcosters should introduce new direct services from Zagreb to Split and Dubrovnik, further expanding their summer offering and creating new travel opportunities to some of Croatia’s most popular regions. These routes would provide passengers with a comfortable and affordable way to explore beloved Adriatic destinations, whether they are planning a seaside holiday, a short city break, or a visit to friends and family.
DeleteLowcosters chould continue to expand existing and start new networks from Zagreb and strengthen Croatia’s connectivity with key tourist destinations across Adriatic, giving passengers more choice and convenience!
