Abu Dhabi awaits Jat
The Amadeus reservation system has just listed new flights between Belgrade in Serbia and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Serbian national carrier Jat Airways will commence these flights from March 31, 2009. Flights will operate via Larnaca. Abu Dhabi will be returned to Jat’s scheduled services after more than 19 years. The new service will primarily be for the Serbian Diaspora living in Australia, which will have excellent onwards connections from Abu Dhabi to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the UAE. The return flights to Belgrade have also been continently scheduled for passengers arriving from Australia.

Flights details can be found here.

Prenosim sa diskusija, slazem se sa ovim misljenjem.

    Flyboy_se From Qatar,

JU94 to AUH will operate with a stop in LCA 2 times weekly.on tuesdays and thursdays.
The flight arrives AUH at 06:55 and connects to EY service to SYD at 10:15
However, there will be a long wait if one wants to fly to MEL.
I am surprised they didnt plan the timing better, so they can arrive late in the evening. That way they could connect to the second SYD service aswelle as the MEL one.
Also with 2 frequencies a week, not the most competitive option.
But who knows, maybe they were out after other destinations.
Anyway, good to see old Jat expanding
