Soon in Paris

After a year and a half, Adria Airways will resume services to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport next summer season. The Slovenian carrier will launch daily flights to the French capital with its Bombardier CRJ900. It will coincide with Air France’s service reductions to the Slovenian capital which goes from double daily to daily. Adria’s flights to Paris will be innagurated on March 31, 2013. Further flight details can be found here.

Adria suspended its services to Paris at the start of the 2011/2012 winter season along with a string of high profile routes, including London and Istanbul. Since then, flights to London have resumed, though only on a seasonal summer basis.

Meanwhile, Adria’s home airport, Ljubljana, has received seven bids for the construction of its brand new passenger terminal two, which is expected to open its doors by the spring of 2015. Three Slovenian companies placed a bid, as well as a Czech-Slovenian and an Austrian-Slovenian consortium. The Croatian company Tehnobeton also put in a bid. Also in the running is Limak Holding from Turkey, which is present in the region as it runs Priština Airport. The new terminal, which will cover an area of 31.200 square metres, will have the capacity to handle 1.800 passengers per hour. The existing terminal, built in 1973 and later reconstructed, has an area of 13.000 square metres. According to Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, the new terminal is needed in order to handle an expected rise in traffic, although the airport saw only 806.557 passengers in the first eight months of this year, a slump of 14.5% on 2011, mainly due to cut backs in Adria’s operations. The price tag of the new terminal is estimated to reach 72 million euros.

What happend to the bids and offers of Adria, Has the Slovenian goverment talked about selling? There are going rumors that the albanian billionair Bexhet Pacolli have put bid on the company? They are doing it big from PRN that is reaching 1,6 million pax. British Airways route LTN-PRN got replaced from Belle Air Europe(Albania)and new routes are planned. Ljubljana Airport should put their money on more chater-traffic, that because Slovenians is a people who are knowed to travel. I travel alot with Adria from CPH to PRN and every time loads are full. Wish Adria the best.

Air France is going to a daily flight so it will be the same as Belgrade. However, Belgrade has incomparably more capacity offered.

Doesn't matter, Jat Airways had already announced double daily flights when Air France announced the discontinuation of the route. Seriously, why don't people research a little bit before posting.
