Flydubai has scheduled new seasonal summer flights between Dubai and Dubrovnik, making it its fifth destination in the former Yugoslavia. As previously reported, the airline will maintain four weekly flights between the two, from April 10 until October 25, 2018. All services will be operated with the airline's 174-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft, featuring twelve seats in business class and the remaining 162 in economy. “For the first time this year, we offered our passengers direct flights to popular summer destinations and based on the success of these routes we decided to increase the options for next year and we are looking forward to the start of flights to Dubrovnik and Kutaisi”, Ghaith Al Ghaith, Flydubai's CEO, said commenting on the announcement. He added, "These popular new routes, along with the relaunch of flights to Batumi, Tivat and Qabala, will complement our existing comprehensive network and will offer our passengers more options to explore this summer, especially as we see more connecting traffic onto our network as a result of our interline and codeshare agreements”. WOW! I am so happy that they are launching flights but I am also a bit afraid since they are starting with four flights when they had problems with three flights to ZAG.

DeleteThey did. They suspended the route and said 2 weeks ago they did not suspend it because of Emirates.
DeleteAnd Emirates said they have no interest in exYu just 2 months prior opening Zagreb route. For sure they will tell the truth "yes we have to move to make place for big brother". Come on...
DeleteWhy wouldn't they tell the truth when they have signed a deal to do just that. Had you ever flown on these flights, you would have seen that the loads were not great.

ReplyDeleteMislim da nema potrebe da bude cjelogodišnja. Turkish pokriva istok tijekom zime, i unatoč tomu što nema konkurencije nekad otkazuje letove. Flydubai će se bez sumnje puniti tijekom leta, mislim da će godinu iza komotno moći ići na 7/7, al mislim da nema šanse da će forsirat cjelogodišnju liniju.

DeleteTeško. Da nema Mostara između Dubrovnika i Sarajeva, zimi bi putnike između Du i Sa mogao potrpati u kombi. Nema tu kruha.

DeleteMislim da će vrlo brzo doći na 7/7. Vidiš da je Turkish, ako se ne varam, tijekom ljeta na 9/7, čak su usred prve sezone letenja povećavali broj rotacija... tijekom ljeta ima putnika, a bit će ih sve više.

ReplyDeleteFlydubai has published its 2018 summer schedule. With beginning of summer timetable flights from Dubai International Airport to Sarajevo will go daily, during holy month of Ramadan when travel is minimal due to fasting flydubai will reduce its service to Sarajevo to two per week. After Eid holiday flights will go up to three daily.

This means that DBV will surpass ZAG next year. There is no more doubt about it.

DeleteHow can it surpass ZAG over one seasonal service? Just count the seats...even if FZ flies 100% full all the time and doesn't steal a single passenger from other carriers, it is still not that big of a number.
DeleteAnd you do realize that DBV (much like anything expect ZAG) is totally dead apart from summer? Year lasts 12 months....
Difference between Dubrovnik and Zagreb is 600.000 passengers. Now, you really think Dubrovnik will have 600.000 more passengers next year and Zagreb will decrease in number of passengers?
