NEWS FLASH
Air Serbia is continuing to operate cargo-only flights with its Airbus A330-200 aircraft to bring medical supplies in the fight against the coronavirus Covid-19. For the first time the carrier has operated a nonstop service to the South Korean capital of Seoul, departing Belgrade just after 03.15 CEST this morning and landing at Incheon Airport at 13.05 CEST. Since mid-March, Air Serbia has operated over thirty flights to China to transport medical supplies, while its A330 jet has also been used to carry aid to Italy and Banja Luka, as well as bring supplies from Los Angeles.
Coolness. Would like to see that turn into a regular passenger flight :)

DeleteAthens today announced that they are working with different countries to completely remove quarantine for arriving people. It will be a bilateral agreement. I hope with JFk reduced that JU will be able to send A332 to holiday destinations in Greece.

DeleteSimple, we already do business with France in many other sectors but basically no business with Korea, there are many more opportunities there. This was an opportunity to make that connection, a very strong one.
DeleteTesla under their control would bring in many more companies over, with France.. they will naturally come anyway due to proximity if they aren't already here...
Koreans are much more organized than the French and their airports are far more functional. Look at Vinci is doing, they are doing everything secretly. They didn't even present the project even if they are running a public company, they broke the law. The only question is if they will face the consequences in a court of law.

ReplyDeleteWhat medical equipment do we really need to source all the way from South Korea, especially now that many of the Covid hospitals are being shut down? Is it just me, or is this starting to feel more like a PR stunt then having any real operational need?
ReplyDeleteHave you maybe thought that you have to restock supplies in case there is a second wave or something like this happens again? Have you maybe thought that supplies are ordered in advance? That you don't order them on Monday and get them on Tuesday and that these supplies were likely ordered a month ago? Obviously not.
