Jat Tehnika has been granted necessary certificates by the European Air Safety Agency (EASA) to begin repair and maintenance of Airbus A330-200/300 and A320neo aircraft. Furthermore, it has received certification to service and overhaul landing gears on next generation Boeing 737 jets. The new EASA certification is expected to boost Jat Tehnika’s portfolio of customers. The Belgrade-based Jat Tehnika is the Serbian subsidiary of the Avia Prime Group which also manages Adria Tehnika in Slovenia and Linetech in Poland.
Probably a good hint at future JU fleet makeup? If so, I'd say I'm beyond happy.

DeleteNot really. Jat Tehnika has that issue for years, but it got way worse since company was given to Avia Prime for almost nothing.

ReplyDeleteOn one hand it's nice that it's done in Belgrade and that it's a "local" company.
On the other I heard so many not too good things about them in the last few years.
Are you implying they do not do their job well and that the a/c they do maintenance for will crash?

DeleteYea, that's why their EASA licence was taken for almost a year. Jat Tehnika is now maybe worst base maintenance facility in Europe, or atleast among worst ones. Quality standards are low and bad, and it was like that for years.
Doesn’t necessarily mean the aircraft will crash. Though if I was Air Serbia I’d stay away and go to another company…
