Who generated the growth?

Me, I flew out of Sarajevo in the beginning of jan.

OU should have positive figures as they have in recent weeks been heavily promoting their Sarajevo flights.

Will Ryanair setup a base?

If they do, and if they open one in Ljubljana- as per speculation, Zagreb will be the one to get cut

@Anonymous14:32 Ryan air would never establish a base that is too close to their existing base, even flights out of Zadar which is Ryan air’s summer base are limited, aimed at tourist travellers, also Zagreb is their base in the region, unlikely they’ll open another base anywhere, at least not on scale they’ve got in Zagreb. At Zagreb they plan to offer 50 routes and base up to 5 aircraft there by mid-2025. Zagreb airport data in January should also show very good noumbers. Ryan Air if they offer flights out of Ljubljana, they’ll offer destinations that aren’t planned out of Zagreb. Also, Banja Luka which is about 160km from Zagreb supposedly was to take passengers from Zagreb, that didn’t happen, in fact Ryan Air is contemplating of closing their operations @Bamja Luka. Ryan Air will be expanding at Zagreb as it is expanding across all major EU cities where it flies. Croatia is now fully EU integrated ensuring Ryan air can fly without any obstacles to Zagreb and out. I expect Zagreb noumbers will improve this year significantly, by more than 300 000 passengers, largely thanx to Ryan Air.

its not that easy. Airport will be under big cost pressure in next years ...

I wish that Sarajevo will continue like this.

Which airline?

It looks like Zag airport is running out of money, thus the fee increase, which didn't effect FR; Once they decide to increase the fees for FR as well, I could see FR pull out of there. Let's not forget that the plan 2 years ago was to station up to 7 aircraft this year, but what we currently have is 3 aircraft, and even those aren't flying full time

The growth happend because TUI had charter flights this winter.

Sarajevo has much passengers because bosnia has much population outside.
