NEWS FLASH

Eight individuals have applied to become Air Montenegro’s CEO after Mark Anžur was dismissed from his post last month. Three of the applicants are from Montenegro, among which are Acting CEO Vukadin Stojanović, who previously served as the Deputy Chief Commercial Officer at Montenegro Airlines, as well as Biljana Knežević, who is the former Advisor to the CEO of operator Airports of Montenegro. She also previously held roles at the European Commission Advisory unit to the Prime Minister of Montenegro and the United Nations Development Program.

Two of the applicants are from Serbia - Dejan Ćuković and Zoran Hudak. Mr Ćuković’s aviation career spans over forty years and includes high-ranking managerial roles such as Director of JAT Trade and Leasing, General Manager of Jat Tehnika, and Advisor to the CEO of Jat Airways. He played a leading role in the introduction of Airbus aircraft into the Air Serbia fleet and was Director of the Air Sebia’s Technical Department. He currently serves as the advisor to the CEO at one of Europe’s leading ACMI companies. On the other hand, Mr Hudak was head of JAT Yugoslav Airlines’ representative office in Madrid, and later Stockholm, as well as the Vice President of Commercial at Jat Airways. At Air Serbia he held the title of Regional Sales Manager for western markets before leaving the company.

One of the candidates is from the Maldives, holding the post of Chief Commercial Officer at operator Maldives Airports Company Limited, another is from India, while the final applicant is from Germany, working at Amadeus.

The application deadline for the Air Montenegro CEO position was August 7.

Is the new CEO "known in advance" and this job posting is just a formality, smoke and mirrors?
