NEWS FLASH

Austrian Airlines will reduce frequencies on flights between Vienna and Zagreb. The carrier will maintain a daily service between the two capitals throughout March, down from twelve weekly last year, when two daily rotations were operated on all days except Tuesdays and Sundays. During the 2025 summer season, the airline will maintain eleven weekly flights in April, May, September and October, down from twelve weekly, while services during the peak summer months of June, July and August will remain unchanged at twelve weekly. The airline will utilise a mix of Embraer E195 and wet-leased ATR72-600s on the route, as was the case last year.

Do you think a single living soul goes from LJU to ZAG to fly to VIE, which is what you wrote, or you don't think at all? We are not talking flydubai to DXB now but Austrian to VIE. And btw the likes of you were predicting flydubai cancelling ZAG after they started LJU, yet we still have more flydubai to DXB from ZAG compared to LJU

Those flights are mostly feeder flights for Vienna hub. I drive from Ljubljana to Zagreb often to take Austrian flight (to different destinations transferring in Vienna).

Anonymous14:29 - probably he thought they need to free some capacity in order to start Ljubljana.

      14:29 calm down bro, it's a joke

Although yes, people do use OS's KLU and ZAG flights on long-haul flights. OS has a very good long-haul network, after all

OS will increase VIE-DBV from 24.June to 6.Sept. to 17 weekly flights (last year OS had 14 weekly flights to DBV). At the same time OS will offer 20 weekly flights to Split.

So is BUD yet they have three daily flights in summer. It's about market size and overall demand. Obviously OS failed to position itself in ZAG and the market has shifted to other players like LH or FR.

With more direct connections from ZAG, the less need for transfering. I imagine Lufthansa and Austrian lost quite a few customers when OU launched BER flights.

OS is the sole operator on the VIE-BUD route.
But ZAG-VIE route is plied by OS and OU who cooperate on that route and they offer together 17 flights per week during summer vacation and 22 flights per week off-season.
