NEWS FLASH

Croatia Airlines has finalised its 2025/26 winter schedule, which runs from October 26 to March 28. In addition to previously announced upgrades to its seasonal summer services from Zagreb to Berlin, Stockholm and Barcelona, as well as from Split to Istanbul, the airline will also extend its Dubrovnik - Rome route into year-round operations. The service will run twice weekly, on Thursdays and Saturdays, using a mix of Dash 8, Airbus A319, and A220-300 aircraft. Additionally, flights between Dubrovnik and Frankfurt will increase from two to three per week. As a result, Croatia Airlines will maintain winter flights from Dubrovnik to Zagreb, Frankfurt and Rome.

Vueling couldn't survive on this route in winter with 30 EUR tickets, I don't see how OU will make this happen, but I am glad they are finally trying something.

Where exactly? Ryanair flies to Greece, Cyprus, Malaga, Alicante and the Canaries from Zagreb all winter already.

Try to think a bit wider. Croatia trys to extend the tourism to winter months. Dubrovnik is of course on top of the list. CA as the national airline is used for this goal. Maybe the loads won't be the best, especially in the beginning, but increasing flight options is part of the strategy.
