Air Serbia plans to roll out a mobile application, alongside its new frequent flyer program next March, where travellers will be able to control their points for use across a network of travel, retail, lifestyle and financial partners. Speaking at the Euronews Adria Summit last week, Air Serbia’s CEO, Jiri Marek, said, the loyalty program is in its final stages of development and will be launched in March 2026”. The airline will utilise Loyalty Juggernaut’s GRAVTY, which will enable real-time, data-driven engagement with consumers. "Our ambition is to create one of the most engaging loyalty propositions in Europe. The GRAVTY platform gives us the flexibility to design tailored experiences, understand our members better and respond promptly to their needs. It's about making loyalty simple, transparent and truly rewarding", Snežana Radinović, Frequent Flyer Product Development Manager at Air Serbia, said.

Will you be able to transfer your points from Etihad guest earned by JU flights from the past 3 years?
ReplyDeleteMost airlines, when they launch a new program offer a status match. Meaning if you are gold or silver or platinum in another program they match you status. Point transfer probably less likely.
DeleteLucky for me, I've never figured out how to use Etihad system.
DeleteSo you claim that JU will simply erase accrued Etihad miles!? Miles have monetary value so what you claim JU would do is simply stealing money from passengers.
DeleteThey will not erase anything, your miles will remain on your account, you will not be getting any new miles or be able to redeem it for Air Serbia flights post certain date.
DeleteConsider this a 4 month advance notice and if you have available miles make sure you use them to book tickets before March 26.

This could be a real good revenue generator for Air Serbia. I hope they will own the data. As they will build up sign ups and having mutliple partners produces a lot of data, which to many companies will be a big revenue generator in the future as LLM's will be wanting to acquire it. Learning about customer patterns.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more. Many airlines make more money via frequent flier programs than they do from passenger traffic. Once the system is rolled out and working do not be surprised if one of the larger alliances to make offers to join.

DeleteSkyTeam or OneWorld alliances would have approached JU already if they consider it that its network to this part of Europe of use to them.
And they would have offered them to join their FFP. I don't think JU creating its own program will make them reconsider.
And you know for a fact that they haven't approached JU already? Also, joining an alliance is completely unrelated to joining an airline's FFP.

Nakon leta morate da im pošaljete email da bi registrovali milje. Ukoliko želite da iskoristite milje takodje morate da pozovete Air Serbiu. Ništa online.

ReplyDeleteI STRONGLY advise AirSerbia to refresh their visual identity.
ReplyDeleteFirst, they should modernize their logo and dissolve any connections with Arab world.
Second, they introduced few other Serbian historical design symbols recently and I think this should also be modernized. It is okay to have roots onhistory but overall appearance has to be ultra modern.
I my opinion their logo is just great ... they need to spend on much more important things than on logo re-design. KLM logo is almost 100years old and there is nothing wrong with it. Historical design symbols they introduced are unique to Serbia are something every nation that has roots should be proud of.

DeleteAlso not a big fan of latest redesign, because it practically nothing changed, except the most generic tag line imaginable. At least they didn't ruin anything.
Most important for Air Serbia would be to greatly improve cabin cleanliness, do a much better job at fixing broken seats and window shades, standardize business class product, introduce Wi-Fi at least on the longhaul fleet and put pressure to whomever is responsible for not being allowed to open its new lounge. In that order of importance.
DeleteThe eagle logo to me is fantastic, it shouldn't spend a single dinar for its corporate identity.

I would add a proper functioning corporate travel department that would help JU get a share of the business travelers that are currently using LHG airlines for their company's travels.
Frequency densification is needed for that though, especially to major destinations.
Every time positive news about Air Serbia are published here, we always get predictable negative response about unrelated Air Serbia topic. Not that hard to figure out how or why.
DeleteSerbia had a double-headed white eagle in its coat of arms way before Air Serbia symbol was designed. Many countries use the eagle as a national emblem or a symbol, including United States, Mexico, Montenegro, Zambia and Moldova.
This was long overdue but I guess Air Serbia had other priorities. Good luck and I can't wait to use it.

In the end, all programs dissapointas thee value of points goes down. In other words, it takes ever more points/trips to get a given reward.
I recall that one could fly RT to USA with 50k miles, now you need 44k for one-way.
Oh, great. Another program that they will not honor at all, like the delay/cancelled flight compensation one. I've been waiting for them for 3 months now to see the compensation for my delayed flight deposited in my bank account "within 7 days" as per their own words. No response from them, everyone keeps ignoring me, no email replies, in person agents at their offices are useless and just keep (supposedly) emailing the "guest support" department about it, no phone operator to call and deal with this issue, nothing. So I'm expecting the same for that frequent flyer program as well - if you don't get credited certain number of points, you'll be out of luck as you won't have anyone to reach out to in order to fix that for you, because Air Serbia employees apparently answer to no one, and there's zero accountability in that company whatsoever.
