NEWS FLASH
Air Serbia has announced it will begin distributing plush teddy bears to infants on its flghts from tomorrow as a gesture of welcome and care. The initiative builds on the airline’s broader family-focused services, including its Sky Au Pair programme on long-haul flights, under which a specially trained cabin crew member assists families travelling with small children, as well as dedicated check-in facilities for families with children at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport. “This initiative is part of a broader commitment to creating a pleasant, stress-free environment for families, particularly during a child’s first flight, which can often be a challenging milestone for parents. Through this symbolic gift, Air Serbia aims to foster a more relaxed atmosphere on board for families and fellow passengers alike, promoting a culture of understanding and empathy”, the carrier said. It added, “This new initiative aligns with Air Serbia’s wider strategy to elevate service standards, strengthen brand loyalty through positive emotional engagement, and develop corporate social responsibility activities that inspire and contribute to a more seamless journey for all”.
Air Serbia’s Head of Marketing and Guest Experience, Bojana Knežević noted, "Air Serbia continues to build a brand rooted in empathy and authentic hospitality. We are placing a special focus on families because we recognise that a baby’s first flight is a significant milestone. Our plush teddy bear is intended to bridge those moments of uncertainty during take-off and serve as a lasting memento of their first encounter with the skies. We want parents to feel supported and infants to experience comfort from the moment they board”.

Cute!
ReplyDeleteBravo JU🇷🇸
DeleteIt’s a small but a highly appreciated gesture. Well done, AS.
DeleteI like it, good initiative!
ReplyDeleteNice small touch :)
ReplyDeleteNow reduce tickets prices for kids under 12.
ReplyDelete+1
DeleteWhy would they do that as the kid occupy one seat anyway
DeleteTo help out parents of those children, especially Serbian ones since it's their tax money that saved them in 2013.
DeleteParents should not bring kids to airplane at all, thx.
DeleteVery nice ☺️
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, I like it.
ReplyDeleteThis is great . Good to hear .
ReplyDeleteAs parents of a young child, I must say that this is excellent marketing from Air Serbia.
ReplyDeleteRecently we had a 13 hour flight with Turkish. I called them ahead of time to book a bassinet. They assured us that everything was confirmed. We get to the airport and then they tell us that actually they don't have a bassinet open any longer but they will give us a complimentary free seat for the baby. That doesn't help at all because the baby is too small to sit by themselves... Very terrible service.
+1
DeleteAlthough i'd rather 13h on Turkish than Air Serbia for many reasons.
DeleteSome people can't handle positive news about Air Serbia, as usual.
DeleteNot at all. Im a big fan! But Turkish airlines is far better for longhaul by ever measure. Every.
DeleteNo it's not. I can't fly NONSTOP from Belgrade to New York with Turkish. With Air Serbia I can.
DeleteThis is a news article about awesome Air Serbia addition for kids and you are trying to highjack the topic by advertising TK. You already failed.
Ger a life. Seriously get a life
DeleteDespite terrible experience, Turkish longhaul is superior in every way to Air Serbia. Teddybear is cute but doesn't close the gap. Duly noted.
DeleteCan they keep them? What heppens when they dont load them and parents demand them? Seems complex but cute. Cant see it lasting long at all
ReplyDeleteI can guarantee you 99.99% of people won't even know about this, let alone ask for it.
DeleteTrue. I read it better, 'gift' means they will get to keep it. I guess they'll get them for a euro or two in bulk so its not a huge expense. Quite a nice idea. Wouldnt pass efficiency tests at some airlines but a nice touch indeed.
DeletePersonally i wish JU would offer tea and coffee and water (not bottled) so that there was a degree of passenger interaction more than just handing a criminally small bottle of plastic to guests.
What law exactly makes it criminal? It's the similar sized bottle as on some respectable, well-known airlines.
DeleteIn general i dont like it when airlines had single use plastic, especially tiny ones. Much better to pour water or coffee/tea on demand but increasingly that isnt done on airlines sadly.
DeleteBut you get more water in the small bottle than if they poured it once in a cap
Delete*cup
DeleteBut it uses less plastic. But anyway airlines rarely do that nowadays because it takes more time.
DeleteThen talk to dozens of larger airlines with dozens of millions more passengers and ask them to stop using bottles, it will make greater impact than tiny Air Serbia. Good luck.
DeleteAlso, all those cups are lined with plastic which makes them non-recyclable as the plastic sheet coating the inside of the paper cup cannot be separated from the paper cup itself.
DeleteI wonder if they would give it to “big kids” as well. 😄 Anyhow it’s a super cute gesture. Bravo for dedicated check in for parents with kids.
ReplyDeleteWonderful marketing idea. My grandson should be visiting me from the states next summer and I am sure he will love it. And I am certain it will leave a good impression on his parents as well.
ReplyDeleteWell done Air Serbia.
