NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia and Air Seychelles have agreed on a codeshare arrangement, the first between the two carriers. According to "Airline Route", Air Seychelles will place its flight numbers and designator code onto Air Serbia's services from Belgrade to Moscow, Prague and Paris as of July 1. Air Seychelles already codeshares on Etihad Airways' flights from Abu Dhabi to Belgrade. Both Air Seychelles and Air Serbia are part-owned by the Emirati carrier.

Can anyone explain to me how those codeshares work? In this particular case, did one side pay the other for that or are they agreeing on it because it's "automatically" a win-win for both?
