NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia has registered a 30.6% year-on-year increase in online ticket sales since restoring operations in May until the end of November. A total 38.1% of all tickets sold during that period were purchased online, either through the carrier’s website or its mobile application. “We are constantly working to improve digital sales channels to make it easier to search and book flights and enable personalised offers. We are seeking to integrate our website and mobile application in order to create a unique user experience for our passengers at any time, regardless of their location. Our ultimate goal is to create a seamless end-to-end and door-to-door travel solution providing omnichannel and cross-platform functionalities to our growing customer base“, the carrier’s General Manager for Commercial and Strategy, Jiri Marek, said.

ONLY 38% of tickets were sold online? I expected at least 70-75%.

Exactly. And then you have people here telling JU how they should shut down all offices because EvErYoNe is buying tickets online :)

They should have said percentage per each sales channel. Many tickets have been bought via call center and this year there have been many changes, exchange for voucher that can be used only via call centre etc. I doubt that more than 10% is sales in their offices with another 10-15% sold via travel agencies. Just my estimation, not based on any data.
Overall, I think 40% of online sales should be improved, but it is good result in general at this moment.

38.1% is only through their web or application. It doesn't count ticket bought through other online services (domestic or foreign).
So, this is about tickets bought online directly from Air Serbia.

What a relevant comment. Still, fyi, Reiseburos are as common in Albania as any other Balkan country, except Kosovo probably
