NEWS FLASH
Flydubai has delayed the resumption of its flights between its Emirati hub and Skopje until the start of the 2021/2022 winter season. Services were initially to resume on March 28 with two weekly rotations but have now been pushed back until November 1. The airline handled 24.270 passengers between the two cities in 2019.
Damn what a bad day for SKP. :(
ReplyDeleteThis confirms the theory, SKP really depended on transit passengers from Australia. Clearly, there is no demand for other Asian or African destinations. It will be quite a tough year for SKP.

DeleteSZG is a loss for SZG as they closed their base (as they literally failed at every new mid pandemic expansion). SKP is one of their better performing bases this winter season despite MK citizens not being allowed to travel.

Delete@12:04 - Correct, it is PRN. Plus the gap will be widened quite a lot this year with SKP because there will be more flight additions and frequencies. PRN will be the second busiest airport in ex-Yu.

DeleteHow will they on earth compensate when the world is still in a lock down? Even if the situation gets better locally, borders won’t be open for free travel this year.
