NEWS FLASH

TAROM will introduce a second regular charter service to Dubrovnik this summer, after announcing operations from Bucharest last month. The Romanian carrier plans to operate a one weekly rotation between Cluj-Napoca, in Romania’s north-west, and the Croatian coastal city once per week, each Friday, from June 4 until October 15. Services are being operated on behalf of the Karpaten Turism tour operator. Vacation packages include flights, accommodation and transfer between Dubrovnik Airport and hotels along the Croatian coastline, as well as Montenegro.

Zagreb doesn't need charters, but regular flights. So we can leave this to Dubrovnik.

I don't think Zagreb's lake Jarun is attractive enough to convince holiday-makers, while Croatia has more than 5000 km. of coast and crystal clear water.

RO would be a nice addition especially since they would send their brand new ATRs compared to the worn out Q400s.

CLJ is the new city on the rise. It is becoming Romania's second richest after OTP. There are massive new routes being launched.

Do you mean CLJ is the new airport on the rise?

I thought Timisoara ranked #2, but maybe Cluj has surpassed them. They have a lot of IT industry in CLJ.

Yes, CLJ is on the rise both city and airport. I went there in 2016 and was impressed with its architecture. Looks exactly the same as a Hungarian city.
