NEWS FLASH

Croatian start-up carrier Pragusa. One, which plans to commence long haul flights from Dubrovnik and Prague using Airbus A350 aircraft, has become a minor stakeholder in Croatia Airlines. The company has purchased 3.682 shares in the flag carrier, or a 0.04% stake. Croatia Airlines’ largest shareholder is the Government of Croatia, with a 97.7% stake, while the remainder is mostly owned by state-owned or public companies such as the Croatian Postal Bank, oil transportation company JANAF and the former state operator of Zagreb Airport. The Croatian Minister for Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, Oleg Butković, recently said the airline will have to undergo restructuring after which a fresh attempt will be made at privatising the company once the effects of the coronavirus pandemic subside. Pragusa. One is now the sixth-largest shareholder in Croatia Airlines.

The bussines model of both airlines is completely compatible... Both are unsustainable. Only one of them has the backing (racket) of the tax payer behind them...

      Wait what?
One is legacy carrier with so called regional hub, and one is LH vacation package airline similar to TUI, there is aboslutely nothing compatible with those two (apart from the ROI being in negative)

"It's confirmed. We are going to fly A350-900 in two-class configuration. 32 business class seats with 79" seat pitch and 196 premium economy seats with 42" seat pitch. "

This is money grab from investors and nothing else

wished the OU monopoly was gone.
It would be nice to see more airlines like Bulgaria, Greece, Lithuania, Romania.

I wouldn't mind OU monopoly if OU were a decent airline, with widespread domestic, regional, euromediterranean and long haul network, with much more cargo carried, much more charter flights, and sizeably bigger share on Croatian market than current miserable 16 percent.
As above stated could be considered my wet dream only, I agree it would be nice to see a breath of fresh air in HR aviation, which would end, let me correct you, not OU monopoly, but OU miserable monopoly, or even more correctly, Cartel monopoly. Unfortunately, at the moment I don't see something like that happening, with or without anyone buying two or six promiles in OU shares
