NEWS FLASH

British Airways has, in its latest network update this week, reduced its planned operations between London Heathrow and Zagreb from the initially scheduled two daily rotations from March 26, 2023 to six per week until June 15, after which flights will be gradually increased to reach double daily by July. The carrier planned to restore its pre-Covid frequencies to the Croatian capital immediately upon the start of the 2023 summer season but has now reduced its operations on several routes. Further frequency changes and modifications remain likely at this stage. British Airways’ flights will complement Croatia Airlines’ three weekly service. The two carriers jointly handled 56.263 passengers on the route during the first seven months of 2022, while Ryanair carried 52.239 travellers over the same period on its London Stansted service. As previously reported, British Airways has also decided not to restore its seasonal flights between London and Pristina next year.

Looking at the STN-ZAG flights prices, it ain't no surprise they are doing quite well. Won't be a surprise if they add a second flight similar to many EU capitals. BA is just becoming another LCC on their short and regional flights.
