Air Serbia introduced flights between Belgrade and Porto, its second destination in Portugal after Lisbon, last Friday. The carrier entered the Portuguese market this April and has seen strong demand for flights. The new Porto service will operate twice per week. Air Serbia’s General Manager for Commercial and Strategy, Boško Rupić, said, “For the first time in Air Serbia’s history, we have launched services to Porto. After Lisbon, this is Air Serbia’s second destination in Portugal. Porto and Belgrade are approximately 2.400 kilometres apart, and our Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft fly this distance in a little under three and a half hours. We are certain this will be one of our most popular destinations in Europe and that passengers will enjoy this beautiful city as much as they will enjoy the flight there”. Porto becomes Air Serbia’s 23rd new route launched this year.

      Tenerife in my opinión next Summer imposible, i thought in this winter was launched so i think we will are waiting for next winter season. Alicante is a top of candidates in Spain together Sevilla and Bilbao,i!am sure at least one of those three wil be launched next Summer

      Sevilla and Bilbao would be amazing JU additions. We all saw what happened with BCN and BEG. There are also flights from Zaragoza to Cluj and Bucharest, or Valencia and Alicante to Sofia, so why not add Belgrade? Mallorca and Menorca are all options. Many Spanish airports are just a good option for Nikola Tesla Aerport.

      The smartest move in the entire history of JU after the pandemic was to take the E190/195, even the weak destinations work. So with them I see a lot more potential- MUC, HEL, EVN, TBS, GYD, BEY, MAN, DUB.

    How long would it take to fly to the Canary Islands and Madeira? Why don't tour operators organize something other than Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia? Serbs are traveling more and more, charters to the Maldives, Zanzibar, and the Canary Islands can easily be organized. JU flights to Spain and Portugal prove it - there is a high demand and BEG has been operating for many years below its potential!

      SKP is the same case! But things at both airports are going in a good direction. It looks like SKP will get flights to Spain, there's just demand. BEG will most likely get Zanzibar or Thailand in the coming years. At least i think so. Morocco is also a good option for both markets.

      Sorry but you have read many times here from the CEO that focus will be on frequencies next year and you expect them to launch 15 new routes on top of the 40+ they launched since last year? No. They will add up to five routes and significantly grow frequencies on other routes.

      Since you really want to know, I am in NY but I spend my winter and summer in Serbia. I have no need to go to the Caribbean unless its winter and I have Florida if I really need sun and fun while I am in the US. Some of the Caribbean I have seen, and have no intention of returning.

    What about London Gatwick? It might work if they want to grow in London area with such slot restrictions at Heathrow. Return to Geneva might also be a possibility now that JU operates Embraers. Easyjet is getting pricey on the route.

    Gatwick and Faro are also Vinci airports. Azores and Madeira too, but that's a bit too far and also well covered from both LIS and OPO. But who knows.

      Please remember that for Madeira airport pilots must have a special training designed specifically for this airport, due to winds, runway buildout and weird approach.
      I do not think that JU will pay for this special training for two sets of pilots just to fly 2PW to Madeira
