NEWS FLASH
Air Serbia has scheduled and put on sale its new service between Belgrade and Mostar, which will mark the resumption of flights between the two cities after 33 years. As previously reported, operations will be maintained three times per week, on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays, starting April 15. A wet-leased 88-seat Embraer E175 aircraft operated on Air Serbia’s behalf by Marathon Airlines will be deployed on the route. Further flight details can be found here. The new service is a result of a public call by local authorities in Mostar offering subsidies for the launch of new flights to the city. Air Serbia's CEO, Jiri Marek, said, "We are confident that this route will be beneficial to passengers, and have a positive impact on economic and industrial growth, facilitating cultural exchange, and contributing to even better cooperation in the Western Balkans. By adding Mostar to our network, we will be flying to a total of seventeen cities in the former Yugoslavia, thus connecting the region, via Belgrade, to destinations across Europe, North America, and Asia offered by Air Serbia".
Finally. I have said in previous topics related to this route that I have wanted to visit Mostar for some time but did not feel like driving there or worse yet catching a bus. Will definitely buy a ticket today.

No battle here, we all know who's the bigger, the cheaper, and the more reliable
DeleteBravo Serbia, bravo Bosnia and Herzegovina!
DeleteAren't the OU flights subsidized?
DeleteThey are so this wont affect them.
DeleteBut it's a ridiculous price for subsidized flight
DeleteOU will and should care. Yes their OMO flights get subsidies but they had transfers who were filling flights from ZAG. These guys will switch to flying via BEG now.
DeleteI flew from ZAG to SJJ last night (1.2.2024). Flights to Skoplje, Sarajevo and Mostar were departing at same time, three gates next to each other. Skoplje 70pax, Sarajevo 50pax, Mostar 8pax. Zagreb just doesn't provide the connectivity Mostar needs.
DeleteNice counting Vlad.
DeleteJe li to konačno HDZ počeo raditi za Bosnu i Hercegovinu ? Bravo za Mostar , bravo za Air Serbiu !
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic for Mostar’s tourism. I’ve personally never visited (mainly because of the road situation), but I’d be happy to book a flight now
ReplyDeleteHighly recommend Mostar and the times are great for a weekend trip. Some amazing cafes and restaurants overlooking the famous bridge and a cute old town.
DeleteOmg!!! Just booked my flight for some 11000 dinars.
ReplyDeleteSo excited.
11000 return ticket...so good
DeleteHow much is that in euros?
Delete93 EUR
DeleteGreat! Thank you!
DeleteRight now you can't find ticket less then 124,8Euros.
DeleteI mean return ticket is 124,8Euros
DeleteYesterday for the same date it was 104Euros.
DeleteWhy E-175 and not Atr?
ReplyDeleteThere are some issues with ATR landing in Mostar.
DeleteWhat are the issues? would be interesting to know...
DeleteThat's because of bura which appears from across the mountains. OU pilots are trained for that because of their domestic network. JU doesn't have the need for that so ATR is out of question.
DeleteIs it more complicated than Tivat?
DeleteIt's got nothing to do with who is trained for bura or not, because JU goes into Tivat normally. But I believe it has to do with a/c performance issues where ATR would be sble to bring on board a dozen pax maximum just like it has issues with landing at SJJ with marginal weather. Hence, why the Q400 is the beast performance wise for operating into these airports.
DeleteSunday 28.04 BEG-OMO lowest fare is already sold out. One way ticket is around 9.000 RSD now!
ReplyDeleteGood news. Short flight. There was no chance i was driving from Smederevo to Mostar so Im looking forward to summer.
ReplyDeleteSmederevo? You live in NY!
DeleteFinally, at least one competitor to break CroatiaAirlines monopol with kind 1 Mio. subvention over Mostar.
ReplyDeleteA kako su Marek i Malović stigli u Mostar?
ReplyDeleteAutobusom Centrotransa.
DeleteWoo, Mostar gets more delays and angry passengers!
ReplyDeleteThe time slot of these flights is perfect.
ReplyDeleteCatch so many connections in BEG.
Very goood!!
Finally some good news for Air Serbia. The subsidies will give them good revenues.

DeleteTo sam i ja sada pomislio.
DeleteAli to nikada skoro nije bio slucaj. Uvek na tom prvom letu budu i putnici i neki mediji.
Verovatno ce pustiti u prodaju blize datumu kada znaju tacno koliko takvih putnika ce imati.
DeleteMoguce, hvala vam svakako.
DeleteToliko sam lud da bi kupio novu kartu za 15ti samo da budem na prvom letu.
Jer naravno uzeo sam light tarifu i nepodlaze promenama.
Bez veze
