NEWS FLASH

Air Montenegro has migrated to the Turkish-based Hitit Passenger Service System (PSS), enabling it to introduce a number of new ancillaries during the booking process and improve its internet booking engine, agency and call center portal, and e-ticket hub, as well as departure control systems. The five-year deal is aimed at increasing Air Montenegro’s passenger numbers and growing revenue. As a result, the three flag carriers in the former Yugoslavia now all use different PSS providers. Air Serbia utilises US-based Sabre, while Croatia Airlines employs Europe-based Amadeus.

Hitit CEO, Nevra Onursal Karaagac, said, “Our Passenger Service System at Hitit is an invaluable piece of software, built on the foundation of our successes in the loyalty sector - with new technologies added layer by layer. No IT provider yet offers the flexibility and capacity of this software. Our recent advancements in agency distribution systems and airline retailing have further increased the global value of our Crane PSS solutions. We are committed to supporting Air Montenegro in its journey to become one of the most important airlines in Europe through the investments we make daily and the technology we develop with our R&D [research and development] efforts here at Hitit”. Air Montenegro’s CEO, Vukadin Stojanović, added, “We are excited to enter into this new chapter of growth and innovation with Hitit. Their platform will be pivotal in increasing our operational capabilities and improving the passenger experience for all of our customers. As we continue to expand our presence in the European market, this partnership provides us with the tools and technology necessary to compete on a global scale. We look forward to a successful collaboration that will allow us to deliver an even higher standard of service and efficiency. The transition to Hitit’s solutions marks a key milestone in our efforts to position Air Montenegro as one of the leading airlines in the region".
