NEWS FLASH

Bahrain’s national carrier Gulf Air is expected to launch charter flights between its hub in Manama and Sarajevo over the summer. Talks between authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Gulf Air are in their final stages, with services expected to commence in May, the Canton Sarajevo Tourism Association has said. Bahraini nationals do not require a visa to enter Bosnia and Herzegovina. Initial talks between Gulf Air and Bosnian authorities began prior to the pandemic. In 2019, 6.652 passengers flew indirectly between Bahrain and Sarajevo.
