Air Serbia introduces new boarding music

NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia has released its new custom boarding music, which has been played across its fleet since October 27. The Serbian carrier first released its own boarding music in March 2015, named “The Wings of Europe”, written for the airline by Sanja Ilić and performed by his ethno band Balkanika. During the summer of 2023, it was replaced after eight years by instrumental pieces performed by the Belgrade Philharmonic, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Since unveiling its new uniforms in late October, the airline has also introduced a new custom-made boarding tune, which is featured in the carrier’s promotional material as well.

I like more the old one. It was more authentic.

This music is for TV novelas not for a modern, growing airline in 2023.

Really nice. Kind of reminds me of opening themes for shows like Bolji zivot :D

Not bad. They should have chosen something with an upbeat melody to speed up the boarding process :) Does anyone have a link to the old boarding sound?

Thank you for the link. I kind of prefer the old one. My favorite is the one from Etihad from a few years ago. It just sounds so magical :)

Heard it live in an airplane, sounds very depressing to me, reminding to much of "happy" Srećni ljudi times.

Sounds very premium, only to board into DAT ATR which looks like it did 500 rotations in India

As I said, the end of chorus of "April u Beogradu" is clearly heard.

"The Wings of Europe" was heard in the cabins until recently, not till summer 2022.

I suggested few years ago to have classical music during the boarding on this very fine forum. I don't want credit for anything but i just want put my explanation. Classical music is the only objective music that vibrates with the center of your inner being. Thats why it is calming.
On our periphery of our being are all other emotions: passion, fear, lust, pride etc etc
Thats why all contemporary music influence periphery of our being. If you want lust to trigger put any POP music. Madonna, Beatles, Čolić, Severina …its all the same, they are sexual vibrations
If you want pride to trigger put any old folk music. There is nothing wrong with all this kind of music but its important to know how tone and vibrations and frequencies of the sound work and how our bodies react to them.
    Cheers 😊

The clip is just 2:19 long...are they gonna use a longer version loop? Imagine sitting on the ground in A-319 for 45 minutes during an ATC delay and hear this 20 times on repeat..... And this one gives me sad feelings where The Wings Of Europe gave me a happy feeling of "Now I'm going to Serbia again, love it!!"
