NEWS FLASH

Zagreb Airport will boast several charter flights at the end of December as revellers look to reign in the New Year abroad. Croatia Airlines will operate a charter each to Catania on December 28 and Porto on December 29 for travellers on five-day holiday packages, while Iberia will run a charter between Zagreb and Madrid on December 30 for a four-day tour. Tickets for these flights are being sold as part of holiday packages by Croatian tour operators. As previously reported, Croatia Airlines will also run a charter between Dubrovnik and Lisbon on behalf of Portuguese tour operators on December 29.

I used to think the same. But I was actuall surprised the other day when I found out that this year average LF on ZAg-OMO-ZAG route is cca 30 pax. I am shooked, looks like pepople are utilising this route a bit more than before. 🤷‍♂️

I dont know how Hrvatska is connected to the charter flights but okay. You should say bravo to the people who have money and who were intrested for that three holidays so that ZAG get three additional charters.

Anyway, what is the reason that ZAG has 0 charters during the year (I exclude three Freebird flights before)? At this time, Ryanair's destinations show otherwise - a stable demand for a variety of tourist destinations. Why, for example, are there no charters to Tenerife or Cape Verde as in LJU?

Are there not enough Croatian airlines? Why hire IB as ETF, TDR, SDR are available? It was ETF that showed interest in charter flights from Croatia, unfortunately the Dubrovnik rulers chose a Turkish airline.
